I actually don’t read biographies very often. However, Jodie Sweetin was an important part of my life as a child when she played Stephanie Tanner on Full House.
This book is both entertaining, and tragic, as it describes her struggle ot make it after a long stint on a show she grew up on. I am so proud of Jodie for being brave enough to speak out about her struggles.
This book should be a sign of hope for anyone who’s struggling with an addiction that can take over your entire life.
This book was riveting and heartbreaking. I am impressed with the way the story developed. It was good to see more of Adrian Ivashkov, and Christian Ozera.
I am looking very forward to reading the next book in the series, Blood Promise.
Okay, I’ve had some pretty weird dreams in the past, but last night’s left “weird” and went straight to nightmarish!
It started out kind of nice. I was at a dance with Lexi, and some other people that I didn’t know. Marcia was there. Apparently, we all lived in this apartment complex across from the Dance hall. The dance ended, and Marcia and I were walking her home.
Or maybe it wasn’t an apartment complex. Maybe we were living in a hotel, because half-way there, we come across a fancy swimming pool. I had thing device that was apparently like a PSP, but wasn’t. It fell in the swimming pool, so Marcia went to get it for me.
While I was walking the edge of it, Sam Uley, and Paul come up to me. Now, I think this is pretty cool at first, until I realize that they’re not being nice. They’re preying on me. Somehow, I end up in the pool. I think Paul pushes me in.
Now, I’m screaming, and freaking out because I’m in a cocktail dress, and it’s weighing me down. Embry comes up from behind me, and pulls me up so that I’m not drowning and what not.But that’s where the friendliness ends.
Paul comes up nearby, and Embry pretty much just hands me over, like he’s making a delivery. Paul starts making all kinds of sexual advances that I really don’t want. I try to stop him, but he gets a bit more violent. I mean, we’re talking about the wolf pack here. Before I know what’s happening, I’m backed against the wall of the pool, completely caged in.
I also remember EMbry and Jared forcing me to be still. I think that’s what frightened me most. After a while, they all seemed to look the same. Sam, and Jacob? They sort of disappeared. I Didn’t see them after that. Actually, I never even saw Jacob. Somehow, I did manage to get pulled out of the pool. I think it was Seth or Leah that did it. I honestly don’t remember.
While Paul never actually molested or raped me….-shudders- I think I woke up crying twice. I mean, it was bad, you guys. I haven’t had a dream like that…ever. I’ve never dreamed about Paul or any of the wolves, whom I see as my personal protectors, hurting me.
It is finally here! The third installment of the Bad-Ass Faeries series! I got the opportunity to read this book pretty quickly, and I am glad I did.
This collection of stories is based around military faeries, and war. Each story highlights the trials and tribulations of the fae.
Fans of the series will be delighted to see the works of their favorite authors in a new way. Authors such as Trisha Wooldridge, Christy Tohara, DC Wilson, Bernie Mojzes, Danielle Ackley-McPhail, and others return to tell all-new stories.
Like with the previous two anthologies, each and ever tale presents the reader with a new set of interesting cares to care for, or hate (or love to hate!) If you read from beginning to end, you will want to know what adventures you will become a part of next!
There are a couple of newcomers as well. They slip into the ranks with the others perfectly. These talented authors write passionate stories with adventures, and heartbreak. It keeps the pages turning.
This anthology will delight those who love the fae, and those looking something out of their normal expectations. It leaves the readers hungry for more, and anticipating what the Bad-Ass series will come up with next!!
White Cat was an amazing departure from Faeries for Mrs. Holly Black. I have only been reading her for a while, but I devour every single book of hers that I pick up.
The most interesting thing for me, from a writer’s perspective, is that she wrote this book from a point of view that I have personally never seen in mainstream novels. She handled the writing beautifully.
The characters, situation, and locations involved are interesting .Cassel Sharpe is going to give Edward Cullen and Jace Wayland a run for their money. His wit, and how he sees the world is clearly defined.
Mrs. Black’s new series is set to be just as addictive, fun, and full of adventure as her other works.
Can’t wait to read more of the Curse Workers’ series. It’s going to be absolutely incredible. Here’s to a great new adventure by one of the mistresses of Urban Fantasy.
Finally, after a long wait, we have something else to look forward to! Just before the film version of Twilight Saga:Eclipse is released, Twilight Fans can now read a side novella. This story is called The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner.
According to Stephenie Meyer’s official website, the story was meant to be a part of the Twilight Saga:The Official Guide. However, it grew too long, so her editor suggested that she release it as a stand alone novel.
I think her fans will be very happy with that decision, as many of them are chomping at the bit to grasp more of both her writing, and the Twilight world.
In addition to a June 5, 2010 release to bookstores, this novella will be available on it’s own site starting June 7, 2010 till July 5th for free. The site is http://www.breetanner.com.
Some are probably thinking that the book is going to come out as a way to promote the Eclipse movie. Do you know what I say to that? No way! Twilight has gotten so that it promotes itself! Trust me, if it says anything Twilight Saga, it IS going to sell.
For me, as someone who has found Stephenie Meyer to be an incredible inspiration for her deterimination to get published, and who has proven that a great story will sell, I am relieved that she has not disappeared from publication all together. And for the record? I would buy anything she writes. For me, it is not just Twilight Saga. It is everything Stephenie.
A press release from Little,Brown (Stephenie Meyer’s publisher) also talks about when we might hear more about the Twilight Saga Official Guide. This is good news for anyone who had thought the guide was never to be released!!
